I am in several different FaceBook Groups for photography and art. One of my photography groups is led by a wonderful photographer who creates digital backgrounds, textures, and actions for us to use in Photoshop.
She recently created a Back to School collection of digital backgrounds. We are all now using these backgrounds for kids’ portraits. This is me knocking out two projects with one image. I wanted to start doing some small projects for The Creative Community Center workshop until it officially opens in October. This image is those two assignments combined.
The Photography Club at TCCC is filled with kids ages 13-17 years old. Their project for August was to create Back To School images from photo shoots for the younger kids who will be enrolled in the After School program. The finished portraits are given to the younger kids parents free of charge. Any donations the parents decided to give funds the Photography Club for the year. The club offers several photo shoot opportunities throughout the year.
Artist Sneak Peek: Sami and Cammie are my twin children characters that I created over the last year. They go to private school and were wearing their uniforms for this shoot minus their jackets. I had some issues with the way their clothes were behaving, so I fixed them with the liquify tool in Photoshop. I love that little tool! I wanted a more painterly look to match the giraffe and our little photo bombing creature.
Until next time pray and play every day
