Change Is In The Air

Change is in the air, dancing like Astaire,
Springtime’s the season for couples to share.
The landscape’s painted with colors of green,
while splashes of pink arrive on the scene.
Spring is a maiden who’s lovely and fair,

Summer’s the patter of feet running bare
along with the scent of lemons in hair.
It’s the season of sunshine and sunscreen
     Change is in the air…

Fall wields her red cape with plenty of flair,
enticing winter with a hued affair.
she winks and flirts her foliage agleam
With coppery hues begging to be seen,
she is queen until winter leaves his lair
     Change is in the air…

Rondeau is fifteen lines, eight to ten syllables each, divided into stanzas of a quintet, a quatrain, and a sestet. The rentrement (refrain) consists of the first few words or the entire first line of the first stanza, and it recurs as the last line of both the second and third stanzas. Two rhymes guide the music of the rondeau, whose rhyme scheme is as follows (R representing the refrain): aabba aabR aabbaR.
